Privacy Policy

Advanced International Aviation Academy

Effective date: October 01, 2026

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Jet & Rotor Aviation LLC, doing business as Advanced International Aviation Academy (“AIAA”, “we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit www.aiaviationacademy.com, our student portal at sms.aiaviationacademy.com, the student account and scheduling area, our online store or our mobile app (together, the “Site”), fill in our forms, chat with us on WhatsApp, respond to our advertisements, or apply for training.

AIAA is an FAA Part 141 certified flight school and SEVP-certified M-1 school located at 6273 Freeport Blvd, Sacramento, California 95822, USA (Sacramento Executive Airport). We are the “business” and “data controller” (or “data fiduciary” under Indian law) for the information described here.

We work with an affiliated company in India, Advanced International Aviation Academy (India) Private Limited (in incorporation), which supports student enquiries, counselling and admissions for applicants in India. Where this policy says “we”, it includes that affiliate for India-based applicants.

This policy covers prospective and current students, Discovery Flight and store customers, aircraft renters and pilots taking flight reviews, job applicants, and anyone who responds to our online marketing. Once you enroll, your student records are also governed by your training agreement and our student policies.

Our payment pages load PayPal, and our social media links connect to Facebook, X (Twitter) and YouTube. These services may set their own cookies when you use them, under their own privacy policies.

  • Block Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
  • We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out of selling or sharing. We do not otherwise respond to “Do Not Track” signals, as there is no common standard.

Legal bases (EEA, UK and similar laws): performing a contract or taking steps at your request before one; our legitimate interests in running and promoting the school; your consent (for non-essential cookies and marketing); and legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as follows:

  • Our India affiliate and authorised counsellors, to handle enquiries and admissions for applicants in India
  • Service providers who work on our behalf under contract: website hosting and development, student portal and flight scheduling software, CRM and email tools, WhatsApp Business messaging, payment processors (including PayPal), cloud storage, and accommodation or transport providers
  • Advertising and analytics partners (Google and Meta), as described in Section 3. Under California law, using these tools for cross-context behavioural advertising may count as “sharing” or “selling”; see Section 9 for how to opt out
  • Government authorities: the Department of Homeland Security (SEVIS), TSA (Flight Training Security Program), the FAA, the Department of Veterans Affairs or state rehabilitation agencies if you use those benefits, and other authorities when the law requires
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers, auditors and insurers
  • A successor business, if AIAA is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets
  • Anyone else with your consent or at your direction (for example, a sponsor or parent you name)
  • Lenders, financing partners and insurers you ask us to work with, such as student loan providers and student health insurers
  • Airlines and employers, only when you ask us to confirm your training or give a reference

6. International transfers

AIAA is in the United States, and our India affiliate and service providers may be in India or other countries. Your information may therefore be processed outside the country where you live, where data protection laws may differ. Where required, we use safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, and we transfer data only to countries not restricted under Indian law.

7. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to an application: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted or anonymised
  • Application and student records: for the period required by FAA, DHS/SEVP, TSA, tax and other laws (typically several years after training ends)
  • Cookie data: as set out in our cookie banner, generally no longer than 13 months
  • Job applications: up to 24 months if you are not hired, or for the length of employment and as the law requires if you are
  • Store orders and payment records: as long as tax and accounting laws require

8. How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and vendor contracts that require confidentiality. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and regulators as the law requires.

9. Your privacy rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop marketing to you. Depending on your location, you may have the additional rights below. We will not discriminate against you for using them.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

In the last 12 months we collected the categories in Section 2: identifiers, personal records, characteristics such as age and nationality, commercial information, internet activity, approximate geolocation, education information, professional and employment information (pilot records and job applications), photographs, and limited sensitive information (passport and citizenship details, account log-in credentials, and medical certificate or health insurance details) used only for admissions, visa, TSA, account and training purposes. We do not use sensitive information to infer characteristics about you. Job applicants who live in California have the same rights. You have the right to know what we collect and why, access it, correct it, delete it, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Use the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer, enable Global Privacy Control, or contact us. We do not knowingly sell or share information of anyone under 16. You may use an authorised agent; we will verify your identity before acting.

EEA, UK and Switzerland

You may access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

India (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023)

You may request a summary of your data and how it is processed, correction, completion, updating or erasure, and you may withdraw consent at any time. You may nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity. Contact our Grievance Officer below first; if unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

We respond within the time the applicable law allows (generally 30–45 days).

10. Marketing, WhatsApp, SMS and calls

We send marketing only where the law allows or you have agreed. You can unsubscribe using the link in any email, reply STOP to texts, send “STOP” on WhatsApp, or contact us.

When you tick the consent box on our forms, you agree that AIAA and its India affiliate may contact you about our programmes by phone, SMS and WhatsApp at the number you provided, including by automated means. Consent is not a condition of enrolment. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. We do not share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing.

11. Children

Students must be at least 17 to begin flight training, and the Site is intended for people aged 16 and over. Discovery flights for younger participants must be booked by a parent or guardian. Applicants under 18 need a parent or guardian’s involvement, and for applicants in India we obtain verifiable parental consent as required by law. We do not target advertising to children. If you believe a child has given us information without consent, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-party links

The Site may link to other websites, including government, partner and social media sites. Their privacy practices are their own; please read their policies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, notify you by email or a notice on the Site.
